Our plants and animals

Thanks to the special climate of Cima, which corresponds to that of Rome, many plants thrive, which are otherwise to be found far south. We have selected the most resistant plant varieties possible so that we can cultivate them according to biological principles. The crops were chosen so that the yields are distributed over the year as far as possible.

 

Ornamental plants

In addition to the existing oleanders, forsythias, palms and many native herbs and flowers, we have planted other palms, oleanders, hydrangeas, lagerstroemia, ornamental lilies, giant lilies, etc.

 

Crops

In addition to the old stock of 35 olive trees, 2 khaki, 2 pear trees, 1 kiwi, 1 kumquat, 3 hazelnuts, 3 tree nuts, we have planted 9 olive trees, 3 types of raspberry, 3 types of blackberry, 5 blueberries, 1 currant, 2 orange trees, 2 lemon trees, 1 lime tree , 2 pear trees, 7 apple trees, 3 apple trees, 3 cherry trees, 3 peach trees, 3 nectarine trees, 4 apricot trees, which cover the whole summer season if possible.

 

Animals

To protect the plants, deer and wild boar have to stay outside. In addition to our Shih Tzu dog "Emilio", bumblebees, wild bees, many butterflies and insects are native.
